The complete absence of all elements which make the architecture of today so exciting mark it as the commonplace. (\u2026) It is a protest against rational uniformity. (\u2026) They do not dissociate from the commonplace. They belong to it. They emerge from it and have fun with it. They challenge it. But playing with it they keep it at a distance. \u00bb [BEKAERT, 1987; 91]<\/p><p>La banalit\u00e9 est accessible, compr\u00e9hensible par tous et v\u00e9cue par chacun, mais pourtant souvent m\u00e9sestim\u00e9e [hidden in plain sight]. Ce projet marque une volont\u00e9 d\u2019explorer une partie de la production architecturale belge \u00e0 travers son caract\u00e8re ordinaire mais n\u00e9anmoins \u00e9quivoque. Le milieu rural belge regorge d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments, de d\u00e9tails, parfois curieux, qui vont jusqu\u2019\u00e0 cr\u00e9er de merveilleux accidents. L\u2019auteur flamand Geert Bekaert d\u00e9crit l\u2019architecture belge \u00e0 travers le<em> lieu commun, <\/em>que l\u2019on peut d\u00e9finir comme \u00e9tant un m\u00e9lange d\u2019actions individuelles et collectives, de bricolages clandestins et d\u2019architecture. Le projet tente de rendre compte en images de ce <em>lieu commun<\/em>\u00a0: le dessin d\u2019une salle des f\u00eates au sein du village fictif d\u2019Idderdorp (<em>ieder<\/em>, n\u2019importe quel \u2013 <em>dorp, <\/em>village). Celui-ci est une collection de d\u00e9tails constructifs de six villages (Rumsdorp, Wanze, Heks, Villers-le-Bouillet, Boekhout et Bovenistier). Ce \u00ab\u00a0village\u00a0\u00bb reprend le rebouchage de fen\u00eatres, les angles particuliers, les v\u00e9randas, les garages en blocs de b\u00e9ton standards, ... Ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments a priori anecdotiques deviennent, \u00e0 force de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition, un symbole du milieu rural. La salle des f\u00eates reprend alors toutes ces typologies, d\u00e9pos\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re pragmatique, au besoin du projet. Ce projet marque une volont\u00e9 d\u2019explorer une partie de la production architecturale belge \u00e0 travers son caract\u00e8re ordinaire mais n\u00e9anmoins \u00e9quivoque. Le milieu rural belge regorge d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments, de d\u00e9tails, parfois curieux, qui vont jusqu\u2019\u00e0 cr\u00e9er de merveilleux accidents. L\u2019auteur flamand Geert Bekaert d\u00e9crit l\u2019architecture belge \u00e0 travers le<em> lieu commun, <\/em>que l\u2019on peut d\u00e9finir comme \u00e9tant un m\u00e9lange d\u2019actions individuelles et collectives, de bricolages clandestins et d\u2019architecture. Le projet tente de rendre compte en images de ce <em>lieu commun<\/em>\u00a0: le dessin d\u2019une salle des f\u00eates au sein du village fictif d\u2019Idderdorp (<em>ieder<\/em>, n\u2019importe quel \u2013 <em>dorp, <\/em>village). Celui-ci est une collection de d\u00e9tails constructifs de six villages (Rumsdorp, Wanze, Heks, Villers-le-Bouillet, Boekhout et Bovenistier). Ce \u00ab\u00a0village\u00a0\u00bb reprend le rebouchage de fen\u00eatres, les angles particuliers, les v\u00e9randas, les garages en blocs de b\u00e9ton standards, ... Ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments a priori anecdotiques deviennent, \u00e0 force de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition, un symbole du milieu rural. La salle des f\u00eates reprend alors toutes ces typologies, d\u00e9pos\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re pragmatique, au besoin du projet.
