Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 \u00e9galement comme un des sch\u00e9mas de composition dans les enseignements de Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand dans le 18e si\u00e8cle. Entre 1951 et 1956 \u00e0 l\u2019Ecole d\u2019architecture de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Texas John Hejduk, Lee Hirsche et Robert Slutzky d\u00e9veloppent l\u2019exercice de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s comme un outil p\u00e9dagogique qui pousse les \u00e9tudiant.e.s d\u2019architecture en premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de d\u00e9couvrir par le dessin les \u00e9l\u00e9ments fondamentaux de l\u2019architecture : la grille, le cadre, la colonne, la poutre, la surface, le centre, la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, le champ, le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre, la ligne, le volume, la compression, la tension, la distorsion, etc. Toujours par le dessin \u2013 le plan et l\u2019axonom\u00e9trie (mais aussi la section et les fa\u00e7ades) \u2013 l\u2019\u00e9tudiant.e est pouss\u00e9.e \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ce que sont les implications trois-dimensionnelles dans la maquette de ses op\u00e9rations formelles. Inspir\u00e9 directement par les \u00e9crits de Rudolf Wittkower et de Colin Rowe,[1] Hejduk continue \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s comme outil p\u00e9dagogique \u00e0 la Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture. En 1971 il organise au MOMA \u00e0 New York une exposition avec les travaux de ses \u00e9tudiant.e.s \u00e0 la Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture et lui-m\u00eame fera une s\u00e9rie de sept maisons qu\u2019il publie en 1980. Le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s est repris par plusieurs autres \u00e9coles dans les ann\u00e9es 70 et 80, et a continu\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre explor\u00e9 par plusieurs architectes jusqu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p><p><span style=\\\"text-decoration: underline;\\\">Exercice<\/span><br \/>Dans cet exercice on propose de revisiter le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s. La grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s aborde le projet architectural non pas comme une solution \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me d\u00e9fini par le site et le programme, mais introduit l\u2019architecture aux \u00e9tudiants comme un processus d\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences en projet d\u2019architecture \u00e0 travers la forme, l\u2019esth\u00e9tique et l\u2019art. Le probl\u00e8me ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9solu que par le dessin, en se familiarisant avec les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de base de l\u2019architecture<\/p><p>Exercice 1. \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s est une figure transhistorique qui appara\u00eet aussi bien dans les plans des \u00e9glises pal\u00e9ochr\u00e9tienes et byzantines, les villas de Palladio que dans les villas de F.L Wright, Le Corbusier, Peter Eisenman, Bruno Reichlin, Office KGDVS, Pezo Von Ellrichshausen ou Tu\u00f1\u00f3n Arquitectos. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 \u00e9galement comme un des sch\u00e9mas de composition dans les enseignements de Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand dans le 18e si\u00e8cle. Entre 1951 et 1956 \u00e0 l\u2019Ecole d\u2019architecture de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Texas John Hejduk, Lee Hirsche et Robert Slutzky d\u00e9veloppent l\u2019exercice de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s comme un outil p\u00e9dagogique qui pousse les \u00e9tudiant.e.s d\u2019architecture en premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de d\u00e9couvrir par le dessin les \u00e9l\u00e9ments fondamentaux de l\u2019architecture : la grille, le cadre, la colonne, la poutre, la surface, le centre, la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, le champ, le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre, la ligne, le volume, la compression, la tension, la distorsion, etc. Toujours par le dessin \u2013 le plan et l\u2019axonom\u00e9trie (mais aussi la section et les fa\u00e7ades) \u2013 l\u2019\u00e9tudiant.e est pouss\u00e9.e \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ce que sont les implications trois-dimensionnelles dans la maquette de ses op\u00e9rations formelles. Inspir\u00e9 directement par les \u00e9crits de Rudolf Wittkower et de Colin Rowe,[1] Hejduk continue \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s comme outil p\u00e9dagogique \u00e0 la Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture. En 1971 il organise au MOMA \u00e0 New York une exposition avec les travaux de ses \u00e9tudiant.e.s \u00e0 la Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture et lui-m\u00eame fera une s\u00e9rie de sept maisons qu\u2019il publie en 1980. Le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s est repris par plusieurs autres \u00e9coles dans les ann\u00e9es 70 et 80, et a continu\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre explor\u00e9 par plusieurs architectes jusqu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p><p><span style=\\\"text-decoration: underline;\\\">Exercice<\/span><br \/>Dans cet exercice on propose de revisiter le probl\u00e8me de la grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s. La grille \u00e0 neuf carr\u00e9s aborde le projet architectural non pas comme une solution \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me d\u00e9fini par le site et le programme, mais introduit l\u2019architecture aux \u00e9tudiants comme un processus d\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences en projet d\u2019architecture \u00e0 travers la forme, l\u2019esth\u00e9tique et l\u2019art.
