Le projet se d\u00e9ploie sur la commune de Couillet, adjacente au centre historique de Charleroi. Conscient du plan strat\u00e9gique du Bouwmeester de Paul Magnette, il a pour ambition de r\u00e9nover et d\u2019intensifier le c\u0153ur d\u2019un des noyaux urbains anciennement d\u00e9di\u00e9 au charbonnage et \u00e0 l\u2019industrie lourde. Notre volont\u00e9 est d\u2019int\u00e9grer la commune au sein de la m\u00e9tropole pour lui donner plus de visibilit\u00e9 et ainsi d\u00e9senclaver cet ancien territoire industriel coinc\u00e9 entre le canal de la Sambre au Nord et une voie ferr\u00e9e au Sud.<\/span><\/p>

Le programme tente de r\u00e9pondre au contexte \u00e9conomique et social du site en tissant du lien entre un village rue communautaire et un p\u00f4le d\u2019activit\u00e9 d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la gestion des d\u00e9chets et des encombrants de Charleroi, ainsi qu\u2019au recyclage de plastiques, de textiles, etc\u2026 Cette nouvelle interface de mixit\u00e9 programmatique et sociale s\u2019appuie sur les grandes halles logistiques de l\u2019entreprise Carbobois qui seront revaloris\u00e9es pour accueillir la nouvelle \u00ab\u00a0Ressourcerie de la Sambre\u00a0\u00bb. Celle-ci fonctionnera en synergie avec les autres entreprises du site et accueillera des visiteurs de Couillet, Charleroi et ses environs. Toujours dans une id\u00e9e de mixit\u00e9, le programme sera renforc\u00e9 par une \u00ab\u00a0cantine\u00a0\u00bb ouverte \u00e0 tous (travailleurs, habitants ou visiteur) et aura pour objectif de cr\u00e9er des emplois peu qualifi\u00e9s afin de favoriser la r\u00e9insertion sociale par le travail. <\/span><\/p>

Enfin, le programme comprend \u00e9galement l\u2019implantation de 150 logements pour densifier le site et favoriser une fois de plus la mixit\u00e9. Ces logements prennent la forme de tours d\u2019habitations implant\u00e9es en quinconce contre les halles, qui par leurs nouvelles fonctions et leur morphologie parall\u00e9l\u00e9pip\u00e9diques, constitueront le socle de ces trois nouvelles tours. Dans un jeu d\u2019\u00e9chelle subtil, ces derni\u00e8res r\u00e9pondent au patrimoine monumental des halles et succ\u00e8dent aux chevalements et chemin\u00e9es industrielles partiellement disparus, comme marqueur du paysage carolo. Le rez de chauss\u00e9 (ressourcerie + cantine) est le plus libre et le plus franchissable possible, tandis que le R+1 assure la transition entre rez public et \u00e9tages priv\u00e9s avec des usages collectifs pour les r\u00e9sidents. Le projet se d\u00e9ploie sur la commune de Couillet, adjacente au centre historique de Charleroi. Conscient du plan strat\u00e9gique du Bouwmeester de Paul Magnette, il a pour ambition de r\u00e9nover et d\u2019intensifier le c\u0153ur d\u2019un des noyaux urbains anciennement d\u00e9di\u00e9 au charbonnage et \u00e0 l\u2019industrie lourde. Notre volont\u00e9 est d\u2019int\u00e9grer la commune au sein de la m\u00e9tropole pour lui donner plus de visibilit\u00e9 et ainsi d\u00e9senclaver cet ancien territoire industriel coinc\u00e9 entre le canal de la Sambre au Nord et une voie ferr\u00e9e au Sud.<\/span><\/p>

Le programme tente de r\u00e9pondre au contexte \u00e9conomique et social du site en tissant du lien entre un village rue communautaire et un p\u00f4le d\u2019activit\u00e9 d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la gestion des d\u00e9chets et des encombrants de Charleroi, ainsi qu\u2019au recyclage de plastiques, de textiles, etc\u2026 Cette nouvelle interface de mixit\u00e9 programmatique et sociale s\u2019appuie sur les grandes halles logistiques de l\u2019entreprise Carbobois qui seront revaloris\u00e9es pour accueillir la nouvelle \u00ab\u00a0Ressourcerie de la Sambre\u00a0\u00bb. Celle-ci fonctionnera en synergie avec les autres entreprises du site et accueillera des visiteurs de Couillet, Charleroi et ses environs. Toujours dans une id\u00e9e de mixit\u00e9, le programme sera renforc\u00e9 par une \u00ab\u00a0cantine\u00a0\u00bb ouverte \u00e0 tous (travailleurs, habitants ou visiteur) et aura pour objectif de cr\u00e9er des emplois peu qualifi\u00e9s afin de favoriser la r\u00e9insertion sociale par le travail. <\/span><\/p>

Enfin, le programme comprend \u00e9galement l\u2019implantation de 150 logements pour densifier le site et favoriser une fois de plus la mixit\u00e9. Ces logements prennent la forme de tours d\u2019habitations implant\u00e9es en quinconce contre les halles, qui par leurs nouvelles fonctions et leur morphologie parall\u00e9l\u00e9pip\u00e9diques, constitueront le socle de ces trois nouvelles tours. Dans un jeu d\u2019\u00e9chelle subtil, ces derni\u00e8res r\u00e9pondent au patrimoine monumental des halles et succ\u00e8dent aux chevalements et chemin\u00e9es industrielles partiellement disparus, comme marqueur du paysage carolo. Le rez de chauss\u00e9 (ressourcerie + cantine) est le plus libre et le plus franchissable possible, tandis que le R+1 assure la transition entre rez public et \u00e9tages priv\u00e9s avec des usages collectifs pour les r\u00e9sidents.
