International Seminar “Geohumanities, Art and Biopolitics of the Anthropocene”. Organised by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and the Universidad Católica del Maule (22-01-2021).
In the era of the Anthropocene-Capitalocene, or the ruins that this is leaving, the different turns in social sciences and humanities affect us and connect us today from the growing trend towards the integration of concepts and tools related to different edges of the geographical space . The need for greater connections, greater reflections, a critical review of the state of these rhizomatic connections emerges as an emergent (and urgent) element. And as a kind of liberation, the Arts, in which we find the link, the cable to Earth, the rhythm of the spin.
This event proposes a dialogue of knowledge between these various fields that promote the search for a new ecological consciousness to inhabit the Anthropocene. The methodology that we propose is of a rhizomatic type as it seeks to find lines of flight that allow the construction of new connections that design cartographies to move in the Anthropocene.
